Hospital Puerta de Hierro Spain will have a living specializing in recovery from spinal cord injury

The Puerta de Hierro Hospital will feature the first room of Spain specializing in recovery from spinal cord injury through an agreement that will make a research framework by which they will implement these dependencies are set.

This agreement was signed today between the school management and the Pro Research Association for Spinal Cord Injury Repair (APINME). The Minister of Health, Javier Fernández Lasquetty presided over the signing of the agreement.

The agreement includes an initial endowment of 400.000 euros, primarily for construction of the first living cell therapy in Spain to be allocated, exclusively, recovery from spinal cord injury. This project is associated with a grant from the Ministry of Health, other 450.000 euros “given its importance”.
